These instructions were emailed to the ASSI Mailing List on May 4, 2005.

Overview:

1. Fill out your information for our scheduling database. (Teacher or Student Form)
2. Review workshop fees. (Summary Form)
3. Fill out Volunteer Form. (Volunteer Form) - 1 per family
4. Pay fees through PayPal. (PayPal.com)

1. Fill out one Student (or Teacher) Registration form for each participant.
• This means that if you have more than one child participating, you will go through PayPal more than once.
• When this occurs, Paypal likes you to register your credit card with them. To avoid this, CLEAR YOUR (browser) COOKIES, after each transaction.*
2. Fill out only one Volunteer Form per family or teacher.
3. If you prefer to NOT use a credit card, or your credit card is rejected (for any of the unusual reasons listed below), still fill out the Student (or Teacher) Form, but you can mail a cheque to the amount indicated on the Summary Form. Close your browser after you have submitted the Summary Form.
4. Read ALL the instructions on each Form, as you go through.

1. Make sure you check "NO SHIPPING."
2. When you move from field to field, use the TAB button, or the mouse pointer. If you use the ENTER button, PayPal will move you to the next page, whether you were done or not.
3. There are lots of security things going on - so it CAN be a bit slow. Dial-up users please be patient.
4. If have found that your computer doesn't support on-line banking, then don't expect PayPal to work for you either. (Mail a cheque)
5. PayPal will ask you for your phone number as a reference for the transaction. Use the following format: 4032890729 (with area code, but no spaces or brackets or hyphens.)
6. When PayPal asks you for your credit card, likewise, use no spaces or hyphens: (eg. 1234567891234567)
7. Addresses: Sometimes credit cards get rejected because your card issuer isn't connected to the same "address validation system" that PayPal uses to validate your mailing address. If you have recently moved, likewise, your address may not validate, and your card will be rejected. (Mail in a cheque)
8. Registering is meant to be a single process. To avoid system errors, please complete the full process in one sitting.
