Suzuki students have first-hand experience with the literature of these masters and further exploration will enhance their appreciation of the works they have already performed and/or will soon be performing. Participants will have exposure to the instruments of the Baroque time period and the string family of this era. The famous dance pieces so common in the Suzuki literature will come alive as students learn, for example, what the Minuet steps feel like and how the music fits with the movement. See you this summer in Calgary, a city settled in the valley of the beautiful Bow River, for Baroque on the Bow, a truly enriching Suzuki string experience! |
