The annual Calgary Suzuki String Association Heritage Park Play-In on September 17th.

Please note that the order in the program may be updated.

What: The Play In is a casual, unrehearsed get together (much like a jam session) for Suzuki students to play together for their families as a group in a relaxed and beautiful setting. The traditional big group experience is an exciting unique opportunity for those students who might come from smaller studios.

Who: Any Suzuki students and teachers from Calgary and surrounding areas. This event offers something for all ages and playing levels.

Where: The Play in takes place at Heritage Park Historical Village- 1900 Heritage Drive SW. We will not be performing inside the park this year. We will be performing at the Engineered Air Band Stand in the New Heritage Town Square at the entrance to the park. For more information about the location visit http://www.heritagepark.ca/index.htm

When: September 17th, 2011 at 1:30pm. Please be at the band stand not later than 20 minutes prior to the Play-In to allow time to find seats, unpack instruments and have them tuned. The Play In will run approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes in length.

Concert Dress: White top, dark bottoms.

Repertoire: To ensure maximum enjoyment at the Play In, please review at home all pieces from the Play In list that are at your playing level. This is a complete list of pieces that will be performed on the day. Please note the order of the pieces may be updated.

Program for the Heritage Park Play-In

Tickets: Read the following information very carefully.

Please inform your teacher that you would like to play at the Heritage park Play- In. They will be making a list of the students that wish to participate in this event and submitting them to Louise Eisner no later than noon on the 13th of September.

This year because we are performing at the entrance to the park there is no ticket requirement to participate in the Play- In. However, if you wish to enjoy the park after the event we have a limited number of free tickets and drink/beverage coupons available to child performers who performed in the Play- In. There are no complimentary adult passes to the park. Tickets will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. We encourage those families that have family passes to please use them to allow others to have the opportunity to see the Park. We have many new teachers/families who joined CSSA this past year so don’t delay in contacting Louise to reserve your complementary ticket or you may miss out. The deadline for free ticket reservations is noon on the 13th of September. Please include your child’s name in your e- mail. Unless you have made ticket reservations there will be no free tickets handed out on the day.
