Mandy Loban-Jordan
Mandy is an RMT Registered Music Teacher with (ARMTA) Alberta Registered Music Teachers Association and a member
of the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers. She is a Registered Music Teacher with the Suzuki Foundation of the
Americas (SSA), and a RCM Certified Music Teacher in Classical Guitar, Piano, History and Theory. Mandy has served
on the Calgary Suzuki Strings Association (CSSA) board as chair for the past seven years.
One of Mandy’s passions is working with ensembles. She is director of the Classical Guitar Society of Calgary (CGSC)
Orchestra and has composed pieces with Damian Jordan for bowed string and classical guitar orchestra as well as guitar
ensembles featured at the International String Gala held at the Bella concert hall. She also enjoys playing and performing
in the YYC Classical Guitar Quartet.

Damian Jordan
Damian Jordan is a Calgary composer, conductor, singer and writer. He completed a B.Mus at the University
of Wales in Bangor studying composition under Prof. William Matthias and orchestration under Jeffrey Lewis
(a pupil of Ligeti and Stockhausen). After university, Damian came to Calgary and conducted Christ Moravian
church choir, massed interdenominational choirs, PanCanadian Christmas Choir, Midlands United Church Children's
Choir and until 2020 was assistant conductor of St. Mary’s University Singers. He has sung in various choirs
including Mount Royal Chamber Singers, Kantorei, University of Calgary Chamber Singers, Ad Libitum, Spiritus,
and SuperSonics Men's Choir. He has written for voice, choir and a variety of small and large ensembles. Damian's
works include two symphonies, choral, vocal, piano and band pieces and, with his wife, Mandy Loban-Jordan, works
for classical guitar and string ensemble.
